Susan Bowersox, CSSC, ChFC ®
Susan started her career in structured settlements in 2000. Susan has extensive experience working with all parties involved in the settlement process. She focuses on creating meaningful settlement plans for claimants and their families which address their specific needs and concerns. Susan has experience with multiple types of cases, including medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and Medicare Set- Asides, sexual molestation, deferred attorneys’ fees, employment litigation, wrongful imprisonment cases, and installment business sales. She enjoys creating and presenting CLE courses for law firms and trial lawyers associations.
Prior to joining Millennium Settlements (now Sage Settlement Consulting), Susan worked at EPS Settlements Group, Allstate Financial, and at CNA in their respective Structured Settlements Departments. Susan earned the distinguished Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation through the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) and the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business Executive Education Program in 2002. She currently sits on NSSTA’s Board of Directors and serves as the Board Liaison to its Marketing Committee. Susan has had her life/health insurance licenses since 2000 in most states. She also earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) professional designation from The American College of Financial Services, which prepared her to apply advanced skills to address the financial planning needs of individuals, families, and small-business owners in a diverse environment. Susan can help clients identify and establish specific goals and then formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to pursue those goals.
Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors in 1993 from Wayne State College and attended the University of Nebraska Medical School for graduate studies in Pharmacology. Susan resides in Austin, Texas. In her spare time, Susan is an avid runner and cyclist who participates in marathons and endurance cycling events to raise money for cancer research and survivors.
